Privacy Policy

We care deeply about your privacy, and we’re committed to handling your personal information with respect, transparency, and care. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how it’s used when you interact with Doireann O’Riordan online – whether you’re making a purchase, signing up for our newsletter, or simply browsing.

who we are

This website is owned and operated by Doireann O’Riordan, based in Ireland. We create handcrafted contemporary jewellery and sell directly to customers within the EU and beyond.

what information we collect (and why)

when you place an order

When you check out, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Billing and shipping address
  • Email address
  • Order details (items purchased and notes if provided)
  • Payment method (processed via Stripe)

We use this information to process and deliver your order, and also to communicate with you if needed.

We do not store or see your card details. Payments are securely handled through Stripe. View Stripe’s privacy policy for more details.

when you use the contact form

Our contact form collects:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Message

We use this only to respond to your inquiry and offer support. We may retain messages to help with future queries, especially if they relate to previous orders or custom work.

when you sign up to our newsletter

Our newsletter form (powered by MailerLite) collects:

  • Your name
  • Email address

We use this to send you occasional updates, product news, or special offers. You’ll only receive emails if you actively sign up, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

MailerLite may also use basic analytics (like open or click rates) and cookies to understand how newsletters are performing.
View MailerLite’s privacy policy for full details.

website analytics

We use WP Statistics to understand how visitors use our site. This tool helps us improve the website by collecting:

  • Anonymised IP addresses
  • Browser type and language
  • Pages visited and time spent

WP Statistics does not use cookies, and all data is anonymised at the source. Read WP Statistics privacy policy for more information. We do not track you across other websites, and we don’t share analytics data with third parties.

We also use Jetpack Site Stats (from Automattic) for simple traffic insights. Jetpack may set cookies to prevent counting the same visitor more than once and collects anonymised data about page visits. Read Automattic’s privacy policy

fonts

This site uses Google Fonts, which loads fonts from Google’s servers. As a result, Google may collect your IP address and information about your browser or device. Learn more about Google Fonts and privacy.

cookies

We use a small number of cookies to help the website function properly – like remembering what’s in your cart or handling newsletter sign-ups. Some third-party services (like Stripe, MailerLite, or Jetpack) may also use cookies.

You’ll see a cookie banner when you visit, where you can manage your preferences. However, if you’re browsing in a way that blocks trackers or cookies by default, the banner may not appear – but you can still control cookie settings directly in your browser.
