My Story | About Doireann
I’m Doireann, a goldsmith and jewellery designer creating contemporary jewellery – shaped by stories, handmade for you.
My passion for making began early – sketching, experimenting, always creating. That spark became something more when I was introduced to goldsmithing at St. John’s College in Cork, and I knew I’d found my medium!
I developed my skills further in Wales, Finland, and Ireland, and eventually graduated from the renowned Jewellery and Goldsmithing Skills & Design course offered by the Design & Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI), where I honed both traditional techniques and contemporary design approaches.

Each piece begins with a thoughtful design process, shaped by my surroundings and personal experience.
Whether I’m creating a bespoke commission or a one-of-a-kind design, I want the result to feel personal – something that not only looks beautiful, but feels right for the person wearing it.
For me, jewellery is never just an object. It’s a narrative in metal – timeless, tactile, and meaningful.
Wearable Stories
Many of the pieces I create are woven with stories – remodels of heirlooms, birthstones full of meaning, designs that mark a moment in time…
It’s this emotional connection that makes jewellery special. When someone wears a piece I’ve made, I want it to feel like an extension of their story as much as mine.
